Sugery is in Process now...
Eric finally left the waiting room for prep around 1:00. Dr. Lane came into the room and before we knew it, he personally was wheeling Eric out of the room. He is a wonderful man and I feel very good about Eric being in his care. He went into the OR waiting area at 2:08 and then into the actual surgery at 2:48. They are estimating 4 to 5 hours of surgery. The good byes were tough for the kids and me but we know this has to be. We now wait patiently for the surgery to be complete and for Eric to be in recovery. I will update later when I know more. Until then... Gwen

Dear Eric, Gwen, Emily and Adam,
I am sure it has been a very, very long day. Please know that you on the minds and in the hearts of so many people. Teachers were asking about all of you at lunch time today.
I have been continuously praying and / or thinking about you all day! I read Jessie comment earlier today and she is so right: This is a big necessary step in your journey now! It is a big step on the long road leading to healing. That is what we are all praying for.
