Waiting patiently...

What a wonderful weekend God has given us. The Fall days have been absolutely beautiful and as I marvel at the beautiful colors, I remember why this is our favorite season. Eric spent his day outside in the woods with a huge fire burning up a pile of brush. He mowed the lawn the past few days and all of these things are very good signs and it is so good to see him enjoying these things again. He is going to try and go back to work on Monday.

A week has past since our appointment in Cleveland and as we reprocessed what we heard and what we remember from past appointments, we decided to e-mail the doctor with a few questions. His response made sense and we feel confident that this is the right thing to do. Today, we received another appointment paper in the mail. The followup appointment is set up for Friday, December 19th. Eric will have some lab work and a CT scan done at that time. The last appointment of the day is with Dr. Dreicer to get the results of the tests. These 7 weeks will give Eric time to continue healing and getting stronger physically to prepare for whatever the future may hold as far as treatments.

I don't know how much I'll update the blog before the next appointment. Please continue to pray that we can face each day remembering the hope that we have through our faith. Our lives have definitely changed for now and forever. We'll never understand why any of this has happened but we will take the blessings and joy of each new day and treasure them. God is good and he is faithful to those who believe. Thank you for your prayers of faith that have carried us on this journey so far.

Take care of those you love because relationships are so precious and none of us know what the next day holds. Each day is a gift... enjoy each and every one of them. God's blessings to all... Eric and Gwen
