A Special Christmas Gift

We've just returned from Cleveland and we thank God for his faithfulness. We feel like we have received the best Christmas present we could've hoped for today. I write this blog with a renewed hope. Eric had a CT scan done this morning and the scan has indicated that what they saw 8 weeks ago has not grown or spread aggressively in his lungs. Some of the lesions they saw 8 weeks ago appear to be gone. However, there are indications of new lesions that were not there 8 weeks ago. The lesions that they see are very very small. Dr. Dreicer assured us that if he was concerned about what they saw today, he would have Eric back in Cleveland next week to begin treatments. He cannot say with certainty that the lesions are cancer. The radiologist reports them as metastasis of the cancer but this is not conclusive at this point in time. The current plan is to return to Cleveland in 3 months for another CT scan. For now, Dr. Dreicer said, "get out of here, enjoy the holiday and I'll see you in 3 months". We consider all of this good news and one more step forward on this journey. We will continue taking a step at a time and giving thanks for this day... for the news that we received today. The journey is not over and Eric still has cancer but he is feeling better than he has for a long time and continues to gain strength every day.

We will celebrate Christmas remembering the gift of the Christ Child and the gift that we received today. We know that this day could've turned out a lot different for Eric. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and happy new year. Enjoy the holidays and thank you again for all of your prayers and support.

/And the angel said to them, "Be not afraid: for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people: for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

At Christmas we are truly reminded of the greastest miracle of all, the birth of our Savior. Miracles do happen everyday! We are so pleased for your good news. Enjoy your Christmas with your family and friends. You are in our continued prayers.
