We are back from another trip to Cleveland and now we have a decision to make in regards to treatment. There is no cure for this cancer so at this point in time we are looking for the treatment that will slow down the growth of the cancer. We have two options to choose from. In short, one is a drug that has been FDA approved for a couple of years and they have had success with slowing down the progression of the cancer. The drug is an oral medication that Eric can take at home and then just follow the normal scanning schedule to evaluate it's effectiveness. Of course, there are side effects to deal with as well and that as always depends on the patient and how they respond to the medication.
The second option is another clinical trial. It involves the same drug in option one in conjunction with another FDA approved drug that is given by IV every 2 weeks in Cleveland. We are going to read the clinical trial information this weekend and decide which option we want to proceed with. We will decide by Monday, give Cleveland a call and go from there.
It's been an exhausting week to say the least. It always feels good to leave Cleveland with options and that makes us feel a little better today. Please pray for us to have the wisdom to make the correct decision. We know for sure that treatment is necessary as soon as possible. The trial will require more extensive testing and then a trip to Cleveland every 2 weeks. That makes the decision a little harder to make but we want to do what will be most effective in slowing down this cancer.
If anyone has any advice in regards to participating in a clinical trial, we would welcome your comments. It seems like an opportunity but the fact that it is a clinical trial always puts questions in our minds.
We'll keep you posted next week. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers and support.

Grisier family,
My heart aches for you! Additional things you may want to research to boost the bodies abilities to fight this are Young Living Essential Oils (Katherine Short in Archbold) and Reliv (Anna Mae Detwiler - adetwiler12@aol.com).
Praying for clarity and peace for all of you.

We are keeping you close in our hearts and prayers. Praying that you do have the wisdom to choose the best treatment for Eric.
May you find peace, strenght and guidance in our Lord.

Eric and Gwen - please know the entire extended Potts clan is praying for you and just want to do anything we can for your family. Right now, I know that is limited to prayer. I know Reliv has offered amazing results to individuals, even with Stage IV cancer. It is just the best nutrition available for our bodies. I would be happy to help connect you to those folks with results. We love you all - Michelle, Matt, Dakota, Olivia and Sara
Praying, praying, praying. Know that you are in my heart all day. Call me if you need anything!
