Friday's Plans...

We weren't sure until 3:00 this afternoon that Eric would be doing the clinical trial.  He had to do some extra testing here in Archbold before the doctor would okay him for the treatments. Apparently the results were okay and today it was confirmed that he will start the trial tomorrow morning at 9:00.  So it will be an early morning for us and a long day in Cleveland.  The scans on Monday did show new mets which is very typical of this type of cancer.  We will get the doctor's diagnosis of the test results tomorrow.  In addition to time in the oncology department, we will also see Eric's surgeon tomorrow.  His secretary called Eric today to set up a time for us to meet with him.

Needless to say we have mixed emotions.  We are glad that Eric will finally start treatments especially since there are new mets.  Eric is asking for prayers of strength and courage.  He fears the IV treatment tomorrow and the sides effects of the 2 drugs.  Taking the next step is scary and it phases us into another part of this journey with more unknowns to overcome. However, we always remember that God has carried Eric this far will continue to carry him through every day to come.

Thank you for your continued prayers... they are priceless.  Eric and Gwen

Eric and Gwen,

Our prayers and love are headed your direction this Easter weekend!
It's difficult being this far away, but, please know that we are all thinking of you constantly... especially today. Many prayers are still coming your way from Epiphany and Centerville as well.
Love and strength to you.
