Another change in the plan... Treatment delayed a week

I wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that Eric will not be starting his next 28 days cycle of Sutent tomorrow as originally planned. He had a follow up with the oral surgeon this week and there are still some issues with the mouth sores and Cleveland will not allow him to start treatment until this is completely healed. So, they have delayed it for a week. Another follow up appointment with the the surgeon is next Thursday and based on the report of that visit, they will decide if he starts next Friday or not. Our hope and prayer is that there will not be a longer delay and that in fact he can begin taking the Sutent next week. Being off treatment longer than 2 weeks is a concern so we pray that he has complete healing this next week. It is sort of ironic that another week of feeling good and being able to taste what he eats is not a welcomed option. However, it is the reality of this cancer and we know this is God's plan and so we trust and believe making the most of every day. The days are filled with HIS blessings!
