Almost done...

I've thought so many times about updating the blog and then it slips my mind until the thought returns and I say oops, I was going to do that. I think that most of my excuse is just getting older and if it isn't on a list, I won't remember to do it :o)

Anyways, enough of that already. Eric has 3 more of the 28 pills to take for this treatment cycle. He will take the last pill on his 47th birthday this Friday. Although it would be better if he didn't have to take a pill that night, it feels great to know that the 2 week break is near. It is amazing how much different each cycle is. The side effects that were so severe the past cycles weren't as much of an issue this month. Extreme fatigue seemed to get the prize this time. Not extreme fatigue in needing to sleep but in physical strength. Some restless nights also added to the need for some naps to catch up but just physically doing those "every day things" would take more energy than normal. He has worked full-time almost every day this cycle and he has great satisfaction in being able to do that. Praise God!!

2 weeks from today, we will return to Cleveland for a scan and appointment with the doctor. If this drug is still working, we assume that he will continue on with this treatment for another 28 days. If that ends up not being the plan then we'll trust that God will be the director and we'll trust it to be the perfect plan.

We continue to have people tell us that prayers are offered up on our behalf in so many places by people we know, by some we hardly know and by others we don't know at all. We feel the strength from those prayers and know that the power of prayer is real. Without it, we would struggle with each day so thank you to all who continue to remember us. We are blessed to know that God's people are loving us in such a special way. God's blessings to all... Eric and Gwen
