Another 11 hour day to Cleveland and Back...

I was just thinking about how many hours it actually takes us to drive there, spend a couple of hours there and drive home. It's a whole day of work, sort of :o) The weather was kind of nasty in Cleveland this morning but the trip home was much better and we are home safe one more time... another answer to prayer.

Anyways, this will be a short post simply because we do not know the results of the scans. The scan wasn't done until 11:30 and our appointment with the doctor was at 1:00. I was pretty sure that we would leave there today not knowing which is a bummer but "that's the way it goes" sometimes. We did find out that Eric's thyroid level was extremely unbelievably high and that explains the side effects of the last cycle. So, he was ordered to take a pill as soon as he got home and being the good patient that he is, that task is complete. Hopefully this will make the next cycle better because the last 2 have been pretty tough for him to handle. The only other thing we know is that the start of the next treatment will be delayed a week or so to make sure that the last of the mouth soars heal from the last treatment. So, we're going "to party" in our simple sort of way one day at a time. We love simple :o)

So, I will post tomorrow as soon as we hear from Cleveland. Of course, the future totally depends on the results of the scan as far as treatment, when he starts again and when we return to Cleveland. There was even mention of going longer before another scan if the results warrant that. Less radiation is always a good thing.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers today... post to you tomorrow. Eric and Gwen
