It's a GOOD NEWS day...

This has definitely been an interesting day. Eric had the MRI done yesterday and we got the results today. Cleveland called and said that there is NO sign of cancer in the spine. The MRI shows that Eric has 3 bulging discs and this is most likely the cause for most of the pain. So the good news is that the cancer has not progressed to the spine. Funny how we are relieved to hear that he has 3 bulging discs. It feels like a huge detour sign has been put up that says forget the cancer for a few days and focus on your back problem. Cleveland did ask him to start taking the Afinitor again but they have reduced the dosage. He has been off drug for 1 week now.

Not only has the day had good news... God has shown us again how perfect His plan is. I came home from lunch earlier than usual today and Cleveland called while I was home. After I left for work, Eric called our family doctor and someone had just cancelled today and we've already seen the doctor. If it wasn't today, it would've been over a week before he'd be back in the office. He has ordered physical therapy. There is not a reason at this time to see a specialist and we are very thankful for that. When we scheduled the therapy there was an opening for tomorrow so this is all getting started right away. The doctor has ordered 3 weeks of therapy and we are right on schedule for our special vacation at the end of August. We are so relieved with the news we got today.

Thank you again for your prayerful support. He hears our prayers and He has answered them. This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Eric and Gwen
