I ask for special prayers now as we sit and wait. Pray for Eric as he submits to God's calling and that he knows the comfort and peace that God has for him. I also ask that you pray for our family as this is the most difficult thing we've ever faced. And, I will pray for many of you who also suffer with us. We hold on to many wonderful memories. I think we can all remember something that Eric has shared with us, his witty sense of humor or his words of wisdom and encouragement as he always wanted to help anyone that he could. Thank you for lifting us in prayer now. I will blog again as I can. God's peace be with all of us... Gwen

Waiting patiently for God to call Eric home...
Good Morning: I am beside Eric's bed as he begins to struggle with staying awake. His physical body is letting go of an existence that he has known for 48 years and that I have been blessed to be a part of for more than 20 years. Many of you have known Eric and enjoyed life with him for many years as well and others for just a short time as our paths cross and life happens. I sit here saddened by this process and what it takes from a person who was so full of life, love and happiness. Eric was all of those things every day to me, Emily, Adam and so many of you that are reading this blog today. He is ready to go home and we are ready for him to be freed from this suffering. We have been here over 2 weeks now. It was a good decision because the weeks were easier for all of us here together with help from Hospice. Every day now seems to be more evident that Eric will not be with us much longer. God only knows the hour and we wait patiently for His call to Eric because we know that it will all be orchestrated according to His will for Eric and for each of us.

Tears of sorrow in what Eric has had to endure and tears of joy in having Eric a part of our lives are what we are experiencing right now Gwen, Emily and Adam. Please reach out for the long distance hugs and prayers being sent your way. We love all of you. May God treasure Eric as much as we have!
We love you!!! Our prayers are for peace and release in these difficult days.

Words do not come easy. Please know many prayers are being said for Eric and for all of his family! You do have many wonderful memories and you know our Lord and Savior. You know all about everlasting life and you do not need to say "Good-bye." You all need to say, "See you later" to an amazing man in your lives. I am still praying for peace that passes all understanding. Take care! Love, Cindy
For God so loved Eric that He Sent His Son FOR HIM that he may not suffer but have eternal life. Prayers for you to feel an extra dose of God's mighty love and peace in these final laps of the journey. Truly God will be pleased in his good and faithful son, but God also knows your tears and saddness at the parting. Praying for you and your kids and all who know and love Eric. The Erbskorns
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Praying that God will call his servant Eric home soon and God will give you peace and strength as you let him go into his loving arms. Love, The Bjorlins
Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Not only in these final days is our glorious God with Eric but he is also with you and Emily and Adam. Turn to him for your strength, comfort and peace at this time in your lives.
Gods endless love never fails. Praying for peace and comfort for you all.
The Hines family
