Friday Update...

Hello to all... Today seems to be a turning point for recovery. After a tough night with a lot of pain, the doctors have been able to control it better today. Eric has taken his first walk and he has a goal of 3 more laps today. We have seen the incision for the first time today and the pain is completely understandable now. This morning, the doctor said that the first possible day for discharge is Sunday.

It was a tough decision but we all decided to have the kids return to Archbold today with their grandparents. The good byes were very tough for them and for us too. Even with the good news, the fear is still very real when their daddy is not feeling so well and laying in a hospital bed. I have to be honest, I've had some tears myself just feeling overwhelmed with everything. It is so good to know that we have so many friends and family willing to be there when we need you.

To all of Emily and Adam's friends especially, we thank you for supporting and loving them the way that you do. Adam didn't put the cards from his 5th grade friends down for a long time and held them tight. I know that it made him feel good and he couldn't wait to show them to us. And, all of the index cards of support from St. Martin's were awesome as well. Eric finally felt well enough for me to read the blog comments to him from so many of you. God's blessings to all...

Peace and Love from us here in Cleveland... Eric and Gwen

Eric, Gwen, Emily, and Adam,

It's great news to hear Eric's up and about! You're family has been included in our prayers for some time now, and will be until Eric reaches recovery.

Hang in there, and in no time you'll be back on the putting green!

With all our prayers and strength,
Cliff, Barb, and kids

Gwen, Eric, Emily and Adam - we rejoice with each STEP that Eric is taking on this path to recovery and continue to pray for his complete and speedy healing. My heart really goes out to Gwen, as a wife and mother, I can appreciate the emotions you must be experiencing. Know that God has your children in the palm of HIS hand as they travel back home and spend time with family. I just pray for your peace and strength as you process each situation and emotion that surrounds you. I cheer for Eric and his amazing physical strength and applaud the great family you are part of. The Grisier's are an amazing group and God will continue to bless you!

Eric,

You have always motivated us with your positive attitude.

Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' Matthew 6:34.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Know that we are petitioning God's favor on your behalf. Eric, when it seems SO hard and painful to get up and out of that bed, picture that goal at the end..........that fireworks warehouse and think of the fireworks you will be able set off on this road to recovery!!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you each day.
Blessings to you all!
