Just needed to give a quick update...

I wanted to blog tonight to let everyone know that Eric had surgery today at UTMC. They found through a blood test yesterday that he had some blockage that was not allowing his liver to function properly. So today, they were so gracious in getting him scheduled as soon as possible and by using a scope they have put a stint in that will relieve the blockage and give him relief of symptons that have made him feel so miserable the past few weeks. So he had his radiation treatment and lymph node therapy this morning and then we came across town to another hospital because the surgeon was at this hospital. He is in recovery now and they are going to keep him overnight since it is so late in the day. He is expected to leave here tomorrow morning. The doctor says that he should feel better in a few days. He will continue with the radiation therapy and has 8 scheduled treatments left. We pray that with this surgery and the lymph node therapy that Eric will have some good days ahead. Gwen
