We pray that this treatment is effective. We pray that Eric has minimal side effects and we pray for safe travel for 14 more trips to Flower Hospital. God's blessings to all... Eric and Gwen

Radiation Therapy Started
We wanted to blog today just to let everyone know that Eric received his first radiation treatment today. The doctor decided that he will receive 15 treatments instead of 10 treatments as originally planned. This is just a change after his more thorough review of the scan and planning session last week. He had told us that he may increase them but the minimum would be 10 treatments. So, Eric will get 2 more treatments this week, 5 treatments for 2 consecutive weeks and then 2 additional treatments the last week. His major side effect will be fatigue and that is definitely evident tonight. Hopefully he will begin to see relief of pain and swelling soon. We are also keeping in touch with Cleveland through all of this. For now, he isn't on any additional treatment because he can't receive them at the same time.
