Today was Eric's appointment in Toledo with the Radiology Oncologist. I can't say that we left with the warm fuzzy feeling as we had hoped for. We didn't get bad news nor did we hear anything that we didn't already know. I guess long story short is that hearing the same information from a different doctor puts things in a different perspective and it takes time to process everything again. Next Thursday, Eric will return to Toledo for his initial appointment in preparation for the radiation treatments. The doctor estimated 10 to 15 radiation treatments. The goal is to relieve the pain that frequently takes Eric to the emergency room.
I mentioned another appointment in Cleveland with another oncologist and that appointment is scheduled for next Monday. All of the doctors will discuss the treatment plan so by the end of next week, we should know more for sure. Today, the doctor told us that Eric should have relief from his pain after a few radiation treatments.
I don't really have any words to express our feelings right now. Please pray for peace and for wisdom for us and for the doctors as Eric continues this journey. Eric and Gwen
