Another tough decision...
It wasn't an easy decision to make but Eric decided that he wanted to be admitted to the inpatient hospice facility in Defiance. We arrived here about 4:30 today. They are changing his pain management drugs and working on reducing his swelling as much as they can. Eric hasn't been been able to eat much for several days and the swelling is really taking its toll on him physically. Each day will be a new decision as far as whether he stays here or returns home if the swelling and pain can be reduced. After a visit from the home hospice nurses today, coming here seemed to be the best decision.
