Update from Defiance
I can't even find the words for this blog but I felt it was important that I provide an update. I said in the last blog that we may come home but I am saddened to write that Eric will not be going home to Archbold from here but will go home to Jesus. His pain continues to worsen throughout each day and they continue to increase the pain medications to keep him comfortable. He visited with family last evening and will do the same today with the rest of the family. I have not left here since we arrived and he wants me to stay with him as much as possible. There have been so many emotional moments and some very tough good byes. Of course no one knows God's time for calling his children from this life and we will cherish every moment that we still have with Eric. He is truly a witness to his faith and the confidence that he has in knowing Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Praise God that we have the hope of eternal life. He sang the other night... "Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise him all creatures here below. Praise him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen". I think this is the best way to end this blog. Please pray for peace and comfort. Eric and Gwen

Sending you many hugs and lots of prayers......Love, Jess, Mike and Luke
To Emily and Adam, Tell Dad you will see him later, not goodbye, because you WILL see him again in a pain free and healthy life. You will always carry him in your heart and he will be there when you least expect it. It may be in a song, it may be at a certain place or it may be just something you hear out of someones mouth and you will smile and know that Dad is there. It's awesome when it happens and you will know it!! Gwen, Know that you have done everything you can for Eric. You were always by his side and you were his strength and his rock. The love you two shared with each other came through on this blog so many times. It is and has always been in God's hands and you both are a powerful testimony in your faith and love of the almighty God. Remember this from "Footprints in the Sand"....When I needed you most, you have not been there for me? and the Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you." Know that the Lord is carrying you all in his arms at this very difficult time. God's Blessings to you all, Kim Hines
We are praying for comfort and peace for you all at this time.

Our prayers are with all of you daily. God is surely with all of you and will call Eric home at just the right time. Praying that God will hold Eric's hand and call him into heaven where he will be free of pain and will hold your hands Gwen, Emily and Adam and give you peace as Eric goes to our Resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless all of you. Love and Peace. Peg and Dana Bjorlin
