Wednesday Update

Good day everyone...  We are no longer at Cleveland Clinic and I apologize for a late update.  We had asked if they would move the CT scan up to yesterday so that we would not have to come back to Cleveland on Thursday and Friday.  They were so gracious (again) and at 6:30 p.m.  last evening, they took Eric for the scan.  Immediately after he returned from that, we got the discharge instructions and Eric walked out of the hospital with me.  Praise God... Life Flight to walking out of the hospital on his own.  We came across the street to the Guest House Hotel and spent the night here.  The doctor was also kind enough to move the Friday appointment to today at 1:00 so we will get the long awaited scan report and be own our way home.  Once again, the plan is all different again but God continues to orchestrate every single detail of our journey and we are learning that HE truly is the author of the events in our lives... moment by moment.

Eric is still resting this morning.  He is wiped out but he is doing very well.  He thinks he will walk the 2 blocks to the building for his appointment.  I think he'll get there but I'm guessing that I'll come back to get the car after the appointment and pick him up.  We both rested well last night.  I was glad to hear that Eric had a good night of rest.  He has a lot of catching up to do.

So we patiently and nervously wait now for the report today.  It's just hard to describe the emotion of these appointments.  You want them to come quickly but when they are here you are anxious about actually going.  When they are over, you have the news but then WAIT again for next one.  It's just crazy.  That is why it is day to day.  I talked with a lady from Colorado yesterday and shared some of our story with her.  She started the conversation and was very talkative and friendly.  I let her talk most of the time but in the end I shared with her that we have to find the joy in each and every one of our circumstances.  We have to know that everything has a purpose in our lives.  We have to trust that God is using them to be closer to Him and to share His love with others.  She promised to pray for Eric as well.  I love the way the God uses His people to love each other.  We know that he uses all of you to pray for us as well and we continue to feel the strength that we receive from your prayers and acts of love.

I'll update when we're back in Archbold today.  Have a great day... Eric and Gwen
